Dynamism. Precision. Radiance. As noted in the New York Times article by Gia Kourlas, Kiyon Ross inspires all this and more in "Proof of Light", a new work premiering at SAB`s Workshop Performances.
Blending his experiences as a former student and as the current Associate Artistic Director of Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ross empowers each dancer to share their inner light. Dive more into Mr. Ross`s artistic process in the New York Times article found at the link in our bio. Limited tickets to see this remarkable work remain and are available for purchase at sab.org/events.

This past weekend, Megan Fairchild took her final bow after her 25-year career at New York City Ballet.
Many SAB students have been lucky to learn from Megan, who has been on faculty since 2018 and a Teaching Fellow and guest since 2012. However, Megan’s journey began back in 2000, when she was a student at SAB herself!
Congratulations, Megan on an incredible career with NYCB! Your SAB family is so proud of you. Thank you for bringing such joy to our studios and establishing a standard of excellence that inspires our students to shine.

Workshop provides the opportunity for our dancers to bridge the gap between class and performance.
In rehearsals for "Who Cares?", students are challenged not only by the stamina and technical skill of the piece, but by the choreography`s call for spectacular artistry. Ease, charm, wit, and romance are all expressed through the movement, encouraging our students to approach the work not just as dancers, but as artists!
George Balanchine`s "Who Cares?" is an exciting piece performing at the 2026 Workshop performances on June 6 and the Workshop Benefit on June 8 at the Peter J. Sharp Theater. Tickets can be purchased at the link in bio!
