Parent Support
As a parent, you are already making a crucial impact on the future of classical dance by providing your child with the opportunity to attend a world-class ballet academy.
The School of American Ballet is honored to welcome the more than 1,000 families each year who make up our passionate and diverse community through our Winter Term, Summer Course, New York Junior Session, and California Workshop.
You may not know that annual tuition covers just 1/3 of the true cost of SAB’s training. As a not-for-profit institution, the School relies on generous individuals – including dedicated parents who understand the true value of dance education – to raise funds for scholarships, the outstanding training our world-class faculty provides, and the essential student life support our students need to thrive inside and outside the studio.
Join fellow parents and grandparents alike by becoming a Member today. Even a modest contribution makes a big difference; gifts of every size add up to make a significant impact! Learn more about the range of Membership levels and begin enjoying benefits like invitations to exclusive Open Houses and private rehearsals for even more opportunities to watch our Advanced Students in action.
Your tax-deductible donation will have a direct impact on SAB’s ability to offer the finest ballet training possible to aspiring dancers. Please be assured, SAB is committed to providing equal opportunity for its students. Gifts to the School have absolutely no bearing on future acceptance to, or advancement in, our audition-based training program, but rather ensure the exceptional quality of training you have witnessed firsthand.

Make a gift to SAB today"SAB’s tremendous teaching and nurturing community has enabled our son (currently in his fifth year at SAB) to effectively develop his technical skills and musicality. The chance to audition for and perform as part of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker   with NYCB was a particularly magical experience. For our son, this journey has come full circle from when he first saw The Nutcracker   and dreamed of dancing on this stage. The skills our son has acquired and the relationships he has formed at SAB translate beyond the world of ballet and have set him up for academic, social and emotional success outside of the studio. We are grateful to SAB for how it has grown our son as a dancer and a person and furthered his passion for ballet."
