School Psychologist

The School of American Ballet seeks a School Psychologist to join the School’s Department of Student Life. As a part of the School’s team of Wellness professionals, the Psychologist will provide mental health support to a diverse group of high school age students in the evenings and occasional weekends. The School of American Ballet seeks a Part-Time Nutrition Educator and Counselor to join the School’s Department of Student Life. The Part-Time Nutrition Educator and Counselor will play a vital role in supporting students to succeed as developing artistic athletes. Development Assistant, Institutional Giving

The School of American Ballet seeks a Development Assistant, Institutional Giving to support the operations of a robust institutional giving program, comprised of foundation, government, and corporate foundation giving components. The Development Assistant, Institutional Giving will provide administrative, writing, and research support for a department responsible for securing $1.4 million in annual gifts and grants and managing relationships with 40+ institutional donors. The School of American Ballet seeks an Evening Residence Life Associate (RLA) to join the School’s Department of Student Life. The Evening RLA plays a pivotal role in managing and strengthening SAB’s residential community. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to the Executive Director and leadership team to attract, retain and advance a broadly diverse workforce of the highest level of excellence; build an inclusive and productive work environment, climate and culture, for its 75 full-time and part-time employees; and oversee all HR functions. Chairman of Faculty

The School of American Ballet is seeking to fill the position of Chairman of Faculty upon the retirement of current Chairman Kay Mazzo, who will conclude her long tenure as an artistic leader at SAB at the end of the 2021-22 Winter Term. Ms. Mazzo will remain on the School’s faculty.

The Chairman of Faculty reports to the Artistic Director and is responsible for the day-to-day artistic functions of the School, overseeing the faculty, pianists, and artistic administrative staff to ensure the highest quality training program for SAB’s students.

The Chairman of Faculty works collaboratively with the Artistic Director and Executive Director to fulfill SAB’s mission to train young people in the Balanchine tradition for professional careers in classical ballet – for New York City Ballet as well as numerous companies across the country and abroad. (Currently, SAB alumni dance at more than 70 US and 12 international dance companies.)
