We were thrilled to have 2024-2025 Principal Guest Teacher Kareen Pauld Camargo in our studios last week to teach a handful of our Intermediate and Advanced Division classes. An alumna of SAB herself, and former member of Dance Theatre of Harlem and Miami City Ballet, Ms. Camargo has taught at numerous ballet schools and colleges. She is currently on the permanent faculty at Miami City Ballet School. It was such a pleasure to see her bring her expertise and infectious energy into her classes at SAB!

Let`s close out the week with another snapshot from the #SABArchive: Here`s a moment from our 1961 teacher`s seminar in which George Balanchine demonstrated how to teach his aesthetic to fellow ballet instructors, with the help of New York City Ballet dancers.
While we continue to occasionally work with our National Visiting Fellows alumni to hold teaching seminars around the country, bringing the Balanchine training and aesthetic to new communities of instructors and aspiring dancers, it`s pretty neat to look back and see how it started with Mr. B himself! #FlashbackFriday
