The Beauty of Ballet – Harlem
This free family program gives aspiring dancers in our community a glimpse into the beautiful world of ballet.
The Beauty of Ballet is SAB’s free Lecture-Demonstration program which is open to the public and presented at NYC neighborhood venues for family audiences. This hour-long presentation is led by SAB faculty member Katrina Killian and features advanced SAB students. Audiences are offered a sneak-peek inside SAB’s classroom to witness how students train to become professional dancers. The program concludes with excerpts from famous ballets including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Stars and Stripes – performed by our students to live music. Recommended for ages 4 and above, The Beauty of Ballet is a wonderful introduction to the art of ballet.
