SAB’s 2023 Winter Gift Guide
It’s that time of year again when all the internet is a-buzz with holiday sales and gift guides to help you find the perfect presents for your friends and loved ones. But what should you buy for the dance-lover in your life? Allow us to help! Scroll on for a curated list of gift ideas that are sure to impress…
Need something for an adult ballet aficionado that’s unique and special? Consider gifting an SAB Membership that will provide the recipient with a year’s worth of special School of American Ballet events and exclusive access to class visits, rehearsals, and more. And the best part? Your gift will also help SAB continue to provide excellent training, resources, and financial aid to our talented students. It’s a win-win!
Another way to support the School is to shop for items from the official SAB Online Store. Ideal for any student, alumni, supporter or fan, we have a large selection of clothes and accessories that will give them the chance to show off their SAB school-spirit! Whether you want to gift one of our cozy sweatshirts to a seasoned dancer or perhaps a branded onesie for a future ballet star, there is something for everyone.
You can’t go wrong with tickets to see our affiliated company, New York City Ballet, as they celebrate their 75th season! Whether you snag tickets to see our students perform in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® or you select performances from the Company’s Winter or Spring offerings, your recipient will be dazzled by our incredible alumni performing in the beloved ballets of George Balanchine, as well as works by Jerome Robbins, Justin Peck, Alexei Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon and others.
In need of something small, sweet, AND sustainable? Look no further than Petit Pas’ bracelets and accessories, made from the upcycled materials of SAB students’ dead pointe shoes. It’s the perfect stocking stuffer that simultaneously helps divert hundreds of pointe shoes from landfills. As a bonus, 50% of the proceeds go back the SAB pointe shoe fund, which helps us provide shoes for our students.
We hope these suggestions are helpful as you complete your shopping this year. Happy Holidays!
