The Beauty of Ballet – Bronx

Important Note: Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our audience, the School of American Ballet has made the decision to cancel its March 15 presentation of “The Beauty of Ballet” at Hostos Center for the Arts and Culture. We look forward to bringing “The Beauty of Ballet” back to the Bronx in 2021.

SAB Lecture Demonstration

This free family program gives aspiring dancers in our community a glimpse into the beautiful world of ballet.

The Beauty of Ballet
is SAB’s free Lecture-Demonstration program which is open to the public and presented at NYC neighborhood venues for family audiences.  This hour-long presentation is led by SAB faculty member Katrina Killian and features advanced SAB students. Audiences are offered a sneak-peek inside SAB’s classroom to witness how students train to become professional dancers. The program concludes with excerpts from famous ballets including The NutcrackerSwan Lake and Stars and Stripes – performed by our students to live music.  Recommended for ages 4 and above, The Beauty of Ballet is a wonderful introduction to the art of ballet.
