Issue 3 – What to Bring
While our Summer Move-In Day may be more than two months away, it’s never too early to start thinking about what to bring to Summer Course. To make things easy on you, we’ve compiled this handy checklist to help with your packing plans! We’re also sharing a couple of important tips to keep in mind.
(Here’s the answer to that question! 😉)
✔️ Pillow |
❌ Candles, Incense, or other flammable |
Please Note: Laptop computers and other electronic devices are welcome. The residence hall is WiFi equipped for basic email, web browsing and communication applications such as Skype and FaceTime. Entertainment streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Streaming are blocked.
If students wish to purchase items such as pillows, surge protectors, or laundry detergent upon arrival, we have several drug stores and a Bed Bath and Beyond just a short walk from the residence hall.
All summer students living in the Residence Hall are welcome to ship boxes in advance of their arrival. The earliest we are able to accept your box is Monday, June 22. Please plan your shipping dates accordingly. All boxes received by SAB will be waiting for students in their assigned dorm rooms on move-in day. Please ship packages to the following address:
School of American Ballet

Details about what to bring in regards to class attire will be shared in a separate, upcoming email, so stay tuned!

Summer Course Payments & COVID-19
The due date for your balance payments for Tuition and Room & Board fees has been extended and the new deadline is May 1. Please refer to the email you received from SAB’s registrar Amara Dieter for detailed instructions. Many parents are reaching out to inquire about SAB’s refund policies in relation to concerns about novel coronavirus and how the current public health crisis might impact SAB’s ability to offer the Summer Course as scheduled. As you can see from this newsletter, we are proceeding with optimism that our summer programs will be uninterrupted. However, should we be prevented from holding the Summer Course, SAB will refund all Tuition and Room & Board payments.
