SAB Scholarship Fund

Every year, dozens of teenagers from across the country and around the world leave home and move to the School of American Ballet in New York City to train at the highest level. In the younger divisions, students commute from across the NYC boroughs and Tri-state area to dedicate afternoons to their classes. The only criteria for acceptance to SAB are talent and potential.

We firmly believe that nothing should stop our students from pursuing their dreams – least of all the financial cost of training. For many of our students, attending SAB simply could not happen without their scholarships. We provide, on average, nearly 40% of our students with scholarships each year. This covers not only their tuition and housing, but also wellness resources including a nutritionist and physical therapist, subsidized pointe shoes and travel, and for our most advanced students, career essentials such as headshots and audition videos.
