Valentine's Day at SAB

Valentine’s Day is one of our favorite holidays at SAB. It’s one of a few times in our Winter Term when the advanced division students are allowed to break their class uniform in favor of more festive attire (another occasion is on Halloween!) As such, last Friday our studios were awash with leotards and warm-ups in all shades of pink and red!

In preparation for this special day, we asked our students to share what ballets they love – a Valentine of sorts to the choreography that inspires them. Their answers ranged from Balanchine classics to much more recent works from Justin Peck, but all are ballets that we think you’ll agree are pretty easy to love!

As in previous years, we also held a Valentine Open House event, exclusively for our supporters. This is a special benefit that’s open to all levels of our membership. Attendees were invited to watch morning classes, mingle with each other and enjoy a selection of sweet treats. What better way to spend a day celebrating love than with fellow ballet-lovers?

It’s safe to say that our Valentine’s Day at SAB was particularly heartwarming this year.
