Student Pointe Shoe Hacks

At the School of American Ballet, our advanced female students take all their classes on pointe. This goes a long way in preparing them for careers in professional ballet companies but also means they go through an average of two pairs of pointe shoes per week. We asked a handful of our advanced students to share how they prepare and tailor their pointe shoes to make them last longer, look better, and feel more comfortable when dancing in them all day long.
