Issue 1 – Move-In and Introduction

Congratulations on your acceptance to the School of American Ballet’s Summer Course!  We cannot wait for you to join us in June. While our school is currently on an extended Spring Break due to COVID-19 precautions, at this time no changes are planned for SAB’s summer programs. The well-being of our students and the entire SAB community remains our top priority, and we will keep you informed of any changes to our summer schedule, should they arise.

Over the next few months, we’ll share weekly emails packed with resources, reminders, tips and important details that you may find helpful throughout the enrollment and preparation process. You can reference our Newsletter Issue Index to see what topics are coming up and when to expect them in your inbox.

And be sure to reference our Summer Course Enrollment Resources web page for more information and pertinent SAB contacts.

The due date for submitting the
Physician’s Medical Release and Immunization Record
is coming up on April 1. We are aware
that COVID-19’s impact on many doctors’
schedules may be preventing some of our summer
students from getting their physicals
before the deadline. Please
reach out to Isa Braun directly
if you will not be able to submit this form by April 1.
Thank you to all who have already sent this in!

Want to know what to expect when you arrive?
From when to check-in to mandatory meetings,

non-resident students,
here’s everything you need to know for
our move-in day on June 28.

Summer Course Payments & COVID-19

Your balance payments for Tuition and Room & Board fees are due on April 1. Please refer to the email you received from SAB’s registrar Amara Dieter for detailed instructions. Many parents are reaching out to inquire about SAB’s refund policies in relation to concerns about novel coronavirus and how the current public health crisis might impact SAB’s ability to offer the Summer Course as scheduled. As you can see from this newsletter, we are proceeding with optimism that our summer programs will be uninterrupted. However, should we be prevented from holding the Summer Course, SAB will refund all Tuition and Room & Board payments.

Please type your question or suggestion to our staff below and we will try to address common inquiries in an upcoming issue of our Summer Course communications. Note that this form is for newsletter topic suggestions only and should not be used for individual communications intended for specific SAB staff members. Thank you for your feedback!
