SAB performs with NYCB during the Fall 2012 season

While George Balanchine's The Nutcracker™ is the most celebrated of the choreographer's ballets in which he prominently featured roles for children, other Balanchine works that highlight some of the School of American Ballet's students will be performed at the David H. Koch Theater during New York City Ballet's fall season at Lincoln Center.  In addition to select Children's Division students featured in Firebird, eighteen of our advanced girls enjoy the rare opportunity to dance with the Company in Scherzo à la Russe. The chance to perform with New York City Ballet is a treasured experience for SAB's students, allowing them a glimpse of the commitment and discipline that performing requires and providing inspiration they can apply to their rigorous classroom training.
